COMMAND DECK.

The Normandy's Command Deck contains the bridge in the bow, the airlock, the Combat Information Center containing the galaxy map, and the comm room towards the stern. The CIC is of unusual design - the CO's station is at the back, because of the turian involvement in constructing the Normandy (turians prefer to have commanders overlook their subordinates instead of be in the midst of them).

COMM ROOM.

Officially, the Normandy's comm room is where the crew of the ship can communicate with the Citadel Council. However, it also serves as a conference room where the crew may gather and discuss missions, both future and previous.

CREW QUARTERS.

The second deck of the Normandy is composed primarily of the crew's living quarters. This deck contains the mess, beds, the CO's private cabin and office, escape pod hatches, and the med bay. This is also where the lockers of the higher ranking crew members are located.

ENGINEERING AND STORAGE.

The third deck of the Normandy can be accessed by taking an elevator from the Crew Quarters. This is where the garage with the Mako, the Requisitions Officer's quarters, the regular crew's lockers, as well as the engineering section containing the Normandy's drive core are located.

NORMANDY SR-1.
The Normandy SR-1 is a prototype "deep scout" frigate, first of the eponymous Normandy class, co-developed by the Alliance and the Turian Hierarchy with the sponsorship of the Citadel Council. She is optimized for solo reconnaissance missions deep within unstable regions, using state-of-the-art stealth technology powered by an experimental drive core.
