TURIAN
Names: Turian names are compared mostly to sounding like names associated with the human Roman Empire of old in how they are pronounced (Caius, Seppius, Aelinus, etc). The Roman-sounding names also carry over to their last names.Gender: The gender roles of turian lifestyle are not restricting to either male or female. The militaristic race uses both their genders to their fullest capabilities in combat situations and in domestic life, having no discrimination.Lifespan: Turians can live around 150 years or around the age of a long-lived human of the 22nd century.Classes: Soldier, Infiltrator, Engineer, Sentinel, Vanguard (Turian biotics must be approved by Admins as they are uncommon. PM Syri or The Illusive Man for details) The turian military is known for breeding their children from the age of 15 to fight in combat, learning moral codes and overall rigidness. Never retreating from a fight and their way they decimate their enemy has made turians a force to be reckoned with as soldiers from training at a young age. Their lanky, predatory-like bodies also make them stealthy and suspected fast runners making them good choices for infiltrators even if they prefer a more brutal fight. Biotics are uncommon in the turian military, but there are turian biotics. Many in the military do not overly trust these special but admire their skill so turian biotics have their own groups in the military called 'Cabals'.Appearance: Turian bodies have a hard metallic carapace and thick exoskeleton-like skin and are also fairly tall, varying around six foot and look very lanky. The race is mostly known for the mandibles on either side of their mouth and vary in shape/size and how the race looks avian or predatory with front facing eyes. Also notable is the myriad of facepaint styles different turians possess to symbolize which colony they come from yet it is never clearly defined which marking come from what colony, darker carapaced turians usually have white or lighter facepaint. Barefaced turians are extremely rare and are seen as untrustworthy in the turian culture (or slang for politicians). Female turian lack the crest of horns that are apparent on the male's heads and appear to look 'bald'.Things to Note: The turian culture is highly militaristic and they are a rigid and moral people. Turian children go into military training at age 15 and stay in boot camp before being assigned to a field unit. Many turians serve until their thirties before going into the Reserves unless they are officers and they can opt to become 'lifers' in the military. They also hold high regard for social service to the public as C-Sec was their idea and many turians choose to serve the public in many ways. Many turians are also rigid in personality and can be seen as stuffy and rude to many, but it is mostly due to the tough training and rigid militaristic lifestyle they are exposed to. Their military is also nearly unrivaled in strength and they pride themselves on decimating their enemy and never retreat, but fall back and set up ambushes and are highly difficult to beat from this tactic. Their ships also make up the single largest fleet of Citadel Fleet, and their overall fleet size can possibly be rivaled by the quarian Migrant Fleet. Their religious views also consist of beings called 'spirits'. They also are dextro-amino acid based and cannot share food or drink with other species aside from quarians.
